10 Emotional Regulation Journeys
for Children (toddler to preschooler) & Caregivers

Kids today aren't "too sensitive." Their nervous systems are overloaded.

From toddlers to preschoolers (and beyond), emotional regulation is a core skill. Not a "nice to have."

Research shows that a child's ability to manage their emotions is tied to their social skills, behaviour, learning, and long-term mental health.

And a huge part of how they learn this is by borrowing calm from the adults around them.

When parents are regulated, kids regulate more easily.

When parents are overwhelmed, kids struggle more, too (source).

Deep breathing has been shown to help children shift out of "fight, flight, or freeze," lower stress, improve focus, and settle into sleep more easily, all by activating the parasympathetic nervous system in simple ways (source).

You don't need a lab coat to know this, though.

You feel it in your home.

And if your home is anything like mine, life is feeling more overwhelming, anxiety-fuelled, and emotionally overloaded than ever before.

Hi, I'm Chelsea

Emotional dysregulation may have been the story of my life... but it wasn't going to be that way for my son.

Nobody ever taught me how to self-soothe in healthy ways, process my own "big feelings," or even settle myself to sleep at night. As an adult with a wounded inner child, that meant that a lot of my dysregulation followed me into my new motherhood journey. It meant learning how to parent when I'd never learned to parent myself. It meant unlearning a lot of coping skills and bad habits, and taking ownership of the fact that my emotional regulation was essential to ensuring healthy emotional regulation habits in my son.

At one of my lowest points I found breathwork. It wasn't a magic bullet, but it gave me the space to truly breathe and helped me feel my feelings for the first time. It shifted me in ways I didn't expect, helping to heal my inner child, while providing a unique way to bond with my child during his tough moments. I got certified, and knew that I wanted to create breathwork audios to help others move through their own processes of healing. Out of all this was born The Magician's Garden, a collection of 10 audio tracks designed with children and caregivers in mind.

It is my heart's desire that these audios provide solace, connection, and magic in a world of chaos, separation, and distortion.

To the mama breastfeeding in the dark of night...
The mom who's lost count of how many times she's apologized to her child for losing her temper...
And the sweet child of the stars who needs a reminder of how wanted and loved they are...

These are for you.

hether it's bedtime anxiety, emotional overwhelm after daycare or school, "witching hour" chaos, or a quiet moment while breastfeeding or snuggling on the couch...

...these 10 journeys give you a ready-to-go reset that doesn't require you to become a therapist, a teacher, or a monk.
They help you create more predictable rituals, soothing transitions, and tiny pockets of peace, presence, and love in the messy middle of life.
🎧 Audio samples for each journey are included below.
Note: All audios contain a gentle breath track to help breathers stay with the technique.

What this collection actually helps with...
Here’s what you can use these tracks for:

✨ Emotional overwhelm (after a hard day, transition, or conflict)

✨ Meltdowns and shutdowns (for kids who go from “fine” to “flooded”)

✨ Bedtime anxiety and trouble winding down

✨ Fear of the dark or sleeping alone

✨ Transitions and changes (moves, new schools, separations)

✨ Sensitivity / “big feelings” in sensitive or neurodivergent kids

✨ Moments when a child “can’t calm down” and you’re not sure what else to try

✨ Caregivers feeling helpless, guilty, or unequipped

✨ Inner child healing for adults, too (you’re not exempt from the magic)

These journeys turn emotional chaos into calm... through breath, imagination, and connection.

🌟 Why The Magician’s Garden Works

Kids don’t calm down by being told to “calm down.”

They calm down when their body gets the memo.

And that happens when they:
✨ slow their breathing
✨ hear stories they can see themselves in
✨ have names for what they feel
✨ feel safe in the presence of a regulated adult
✨ practice these skills before the next big feeling hits

Every audio in this collection uses WOO Breathwork™, storytelling, soothing music, and affirmations to deliver what the research is already telling us:

Emotion regulation skills are learned through modeling and practice.
Parents’ own regulation shapes the emotional climate at home... and children’s regulation skills.
Deep breathing helps kids move out of stress mode, focus better, and sleep more peacefully.

These aren’t just bedtime stories.
They are nervous system tools wrapped in magic... for little humans and the big humans raising them.

Important Notes

This is a digital product. Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final and no refunds can be issued. All audios are protected by copyright.

The breathwork technique used in the audios (in and out, five seconds each, through the mouth), is a suggestion. The breath sounds are meant to provide a blueprint to help breath control. In and out through the nose, or in through the nose, out through the mouth, is perfect, too. You are always in complete control. Take what works, leave the rest.
